Caitlyn Babcock, BA
Voice and Smart Start RCM Instructor
Having taught across the coast in Washington State, Caitlyn is thrilled to be part of the Rochester community and Newbrough Piano Academy faculty. She has taught a variety of ages and groups at a children’s theater in Puyallup, WA, and has music directed musical theater groups who have gone on to win awards such as Best Ensemble (2022) at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA.
Caitlyn currently holds a Bachelors in Music for Vocal Performance from Pacific Lutheran University, where she graduated with honors, received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Performance, and was her university’s Presser Scholar. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Music for Vocal Performance and Literature at Eastman School of music. Her teaching philosophy is centered on application of technique, using songs and repertoire that students personally love to accomplish this. But above all, fostering a love for music is most important!
